Shane Roest was born and raised in Lethbridge, AB. He attended the University of Lethbridge, obtained his Bachelor of Management degree in 1996, and shortly after, started his career as a public practice accountant. Shane spent ten years working for national accounting firms before he and Brenda Best founded Best Roest & Co. LLP in 2007. Shane’s strengths lie in customer service, dedication, straightforward communication and his ability to relate to the needs of business owners. He has a “hands-on” approach to providing practical advice to his clients in various industries, such as construction, food services, trucking, retail, real estate, professionals and agriculture. He enjoys helping his clients solve problems, address potential areas of concern and look for ways to expand and grow their businesses. Shane has been active in the community and enjoys volunteering on local sports association boards – most recently as the Director of Finance for the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association. Shane is married to Allison and they have three children, Olivia, Erick, and Jillian.

Karl Hendrickson was raised in Lethbridge, AB. He attended the University of Lethbridge and obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in 2007. In 2009, Karl completed his Post Baccalaureate certificate in accounting and started his career as a public practice accountant. Karl spent ten years working for an international accounting firm during which time he obtained his Chartered accountant designation and later completed the CPA Canada three-year in-depth tax program.

Karl’s knowledge and experience in navigating the tax landscape allow him to assist clients in structuring their affairs to realize the most value from their business today, as well as plan for succession and estate matters in the future. Karl’s focus lies with owner-managed businesses in various industries including agriculture, construction, food services, trucking, retail, and professionals.

Karl volunteers with a number of local community organizations including the Lethbridge Minor Hockey Association and the Lethbridge Ringette Association.  

Karl is married to Lindsey and they have four children, Ethan, Peyton, Lucy, and London. In his spare time, Karl enjoys playing hockey, camping, fishing and spending time with family and friends.
